See I really like how things look in spectator mode, which is why some day I'll be filling in all the caves near the base that I don't decide to do anything with. I want super clear spectator sight lines
Anyway, I think that this looks very cool in spectator mode, this initial bit I have so far

So instead of any restore change, I've decided for the time being a behavioral change on my part should fix it
After every kill, there's two *fwoosh*es of basalt being generated, and if I just wait till the second noise happens, it seems like it doesn't break (so far)
I still want a more robust solution for the long term, but this let's me harvest skulk so I can actually work on my projects
If I'm actually understanding what's causing the issues with the witch farm, this may fix it (and I think I'm right, because in testing I had a constant stream of witches, I think it's the intermittent signal causing things to mess up)
Basically this is a longer pulse extender, and when power gets lost it isolates things so nothing can get through for 8 ticks which... hopefully is long enough to avoid any issues

Ok, the skulk grabber did break on me again... I'm almost glad, it means I didn't get locked up for months for no reason
...my best guess is something to do with witches dying at irregular times. One option might be to make the pulse extender last even longer... but I'm not sure if that's a real fix it not
Like literally, I don't know. Part of me says yes, pat of me says that's just gonna change the timing of the fuck up... but it's a thought
I'll think of there's any other thoughts, but my current assessment is it's not server timings, it's something about it breaking if it like... if it gets unpowered and repowered too quickly
...maybe some kind of switch that locks the system for 10 ticks anytime it loses power or something... I don't know, both of that's the right call and also if it would work, but I'm leaning towards that and a longer pulse extender
I may leave it for now, but at least I have ideas
...I wonder... when it comes to moving the slime spawn area up... maybe the easiest thing would be to pack it full of something instabreak, and then just push it up with pistons
Anyway, remembering that I have a million ideas, I just really really really want to find a way to get them out of my head
Also kinda realizing just how bad I've been doing this year
So far everything's been working fine, plus I seem to have solved an issue with the witch pushing area
So... maybe just maybe the witch farm is up and running and ready to work
Still skeptical, but we'll see
