You, those of the SU fandom who takes exorbitant offence to the prospect of an “influx” of bronies headed to your show because of either your big-ass HAPPENING episodes generating a lot of hype, or because of EqD creating a sister SU site (not like EqD really matters that much nowadays).

You guys, you really need to chill, alright? 

Come on, bronies watch other shows, they are part of other fandoms as well you silly beggars, there is no great big Genghis Khan horde of Bronies coming to sack any fandom they come across, never has been!.

Hell, there are bronies who watch SU, who have watched it from the start (Hell, hiatus drives you to other waters, you know?) so this whole “sees bronies approaching muh Steven Universe” posts are really goddamn childish, like, this isn’t the fucking Alamo, this isn’t some internet Siege of Stalingrad. The bronies were already there, if your master plan was to gatekeep your show and fandom, too bad, you’re fighting a lost and pathetic battle.

So you’re cacking your pants about the “brogems” and “gemtleman” fan labels, huh? Whatcha gonna do? Vigorous, passive-agressive shaming of anyone who uses that is only gonna get you so far, then before you know itBACKLASH! Bam, you’ve made a victim out of your own fandom, and now you’re going to be locked in bitter internet drama over some stupid gender politics moral high ground. Just see if the vaunted production team has anything to say about it, huh? An increase in audience size; regardless of moniker, may just keep the lights on in the studio.

Why am I saying all these things? Yo, ich bin ein Brony, I’ve been there from the summer of 2011, I’ve seen all the shit this fandom has been through, the nitty gritty and petty drama of it’s lows and the fucking beautiful peaks of it’s highs. 

And right now? 

I’m seeing a worrying similarity of behaviour between the SU tumblrs and the; somewhat defensive yet very judgmental “We’re not freaks! This fandom is valid! What the hay did you say to me?!” attitude that pervaded the MLP fandoms early days of 2011/2012, with such a rush came a lot of obstacles and as a whole, we looked like real morons.

Don’t make the same mistakes in behaviour we made, trust me, not something you wanna stick to yourselves.

Damn it’s like three weeksbefore S5 and we’re already running into drama.
