You see, Jethro and Alec used to be just a couple of guys, dancing around each other in a classic rom-com kind of school days meet-cute.
That part didn't last very long, though.
Obviously, after the city's been blown up, random people are developing super powers, and your best friends are trying to shape the future of society as we know it, there's only one thing to do-
Steal Adopt some kids you found in the wreckage, ignore all that, and continue the rom-com stuff.
