A miraculously abridged series that takes after Friendship is Witchcraft, Hunter x Dumber, and Ghost Stories dub

Starring our two main characters:

We first see his room (more like sleeping area) in el toro de piedra, and this is what it looks like for the majority of the season. The colourful walls, boxes of childhood memories, but otherwise very simple furniture to suit basic needs - nothing like his old room.

Compared to the ‘outside’ part of his room it’s very different. It’s very welcoming and clearly set up for friends to come over. (This is a bad shot of it but you get the idea)

In a few episodes (I think mr agreste and yaksi gozen), the blinds become more noticeable. Instead of his large windows reflecting to look like jail bars, the blinds in his room do this. A smaller cage within a cage.

It also shows how dark the room is when he’s thinking about his father vs when he’s thinking about Marinette.

We get to Lady Chaos and although the room looks the same there is a noticeable half of the wall that’s plain white. I couldn’t tell if it had been like that from the start, but I did think it was interesting that it framed Marinette, who then went the entire episode lying about gabriel.

White seeming to equal Gabriel (cause we all know how obsessed he became with white near the end)

But what’s really interesting is that the wall has been painted over completely white in sadnansi. There also seems to be less boxes around (but the dumb frog remains 😑)

Sadnansi follows lady chaos in the production order, which means the only thing to really happen between the two episodes was that documentary about his father.

Episode 11 - Emotional Depths - Part 1:

Leaning over the control panel, Marinette studied the metrics of the environment they were about to enter.

In the seat beside her, Adrien handled the piloting, taking the shuttle down through a harsh ionic storm sheathing the small world Max had identified. The atmosphere was a swirl of deep blue, with dense clouds in hues of violet, grey, and silver, and sometimes sparks of gold.

‘Pretty,’ Marinette said.

‘And deadly,’ came Max’s voice from the passenger seat behind her. ‘You see why I recommended the shuttle rather than the transporter pads.’

‘Indeed,’ she said. ‘And you see why I recommended taking Adrien.’

Adrien threw her a faint smile before refocusing on the screen, his teeth gritted as he did his best to keep their descent smooth. Marinette worked at the controls, helping him in any way she could. After all, this was a group mission. But there was no doubt that out of the three of them, he stood the best chance of landing without killing them.
