Natural portals were said to be random, but upon further researching, Danny started to realize that wasn’t necessarily true. See, throughout history, the fairy circle had been an interesting superstition. It was said that strange creatures called fairies danced there and that if you stepped in you risked getting trapped somewhere not in this world, or forced to dance until you died, or tricked into becoming a slave to them or taken over completely by them. It was the getting trapped part that caught Danny’s attention. One anecdote detailed how a friend of someone lost to the fairies tied a rope around themself in order to go after their friend and still be able to return. Another interesting fact was that, if someone was lost to the fairies, you had to wait a year and a day before going in to save them. At first glance, this seems like a superstition. But if Danny was right, and these things were routinely opening and closing ghost portals, then it might just be the only time they open. So, he investigates. And finds very quickly that his theory is correct. And not just that, but these portals respond to specific types of ghosts. Oh, the things they all could learn from studying these portals…
