Can we talk about how conflicted he looked during this scene. Like shit, gotta listen to Dad, but he seemed kind of upset in a way? Idk maybe I’m being crazy. Like he was going to have a somewhat relaxing evening, it even looked like he didn’t want to leave, but he’s not going to disappoint his General either. Poor guy, I feel like he is so conflicted.

Honestly, I felt the same when me and my husband played the game. (Obviously, I was watching Reiko for reasons.)

When they all stood up, Reiko stood but Shao didn’t get up. And you can see Reiko take a glance at Shao and is like “….do I sit? Do I keep standing?” For a brief moment.

And when Shao starts his shit, Reiko is still holding onto that wine glass. And suddenly decides, “fuck this wine glass” and sets it down with a sneer on his face. Almost like “dads upset. Gotta be upset too.”

Well for one ALOT OF ANGST.

Perhaps in Macaques toying with MK he’s somehow able to find out about his past and who he was before he became Monkie kid. I feel like MK also learned more about him from Game on and that will play a big part in defeating him.

I see Macaque dive into MK’s mental turmoil and personal issues and MK will tell him about what he knows about him. Being once very close to Monkey King and wanting to be so much like him, the drama that made them enemies and that Macaque isn’t comfortable with himself. Macaque would be defensive, saying MK would never understand that sort of struggle only for MK to point out through his past and present struggles and perhaps a trans MK reveal saying before he became, MK the Monkie Kid was a scared girl who felt like she couldn’t be anything and the journey MK went through and still is in finding himself. He still has his struggles but he’s getting there.
