",He says as he starts the motor and also starts Macaques sea sickness(lol, skill issue). While we are on our way there, the clouds turn black, the water has turned a dark shade of grey, " Wukong....what have you done now... ", Macaque said while looking around at the creepy setting, and as soon as we now it we're there, " Alright, let's go see what that peach eating idiot did " , He said as a shadow portals appeared under us and teleport us to the entrance of Wukong's Hut, " WUKONG WHAT HAVE YOU DONE NOW- ", Kaiju An says busting the door open and then walks in, " OK ok, Kaiju An I know that you take your job of dream guarding pretty serious.....but I swear that I did NOT mean to- " , Kaiju An cuts him off by saying, " Release a parasite made out of corrupted magic and destroy life as we know it?, Yeah good job there, You Fool ",Kaiju An says bluntly, she sits down on the floor,it doesn't take a while for everyone else to come with Nezha being last to come," Monkey King? why are we here? ",Mk asks sitting down next to Mei,her being distracted on her phone texting to one of her other friends, " Yeah why are we here? ", She screamed in pain. She shifted back into a tiger and kicked back Dong near the others. Wukong quickly pulled out some of his ginger hair and blew them out making clones, holding down Dong as he roars in struggle. Tang used his mystic powers to suppress him even more but even that didn't stop him. Dong used his tail to swat Wukong and Tang away from him breaking Tangs spell and poofing the clones as he is growing to fast. In the momment of panic Kaiju An yells to Macaque, " GET EVERYONE THAT WE NOW THIS THING IS STRONGER WE' LL NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET! Everyone was recovering at pigsy's filled with guilt and anger. Mei felt his guilt eating her up,feeling like her stomach is upside down, with one thing she had from Kaiju An, a Moon themed bracelet now covered in blood, " WHERES KAIJU AN? ",Ying asked as she looked around (Mayor told her what happened) Mei sat up and told her," Dealing with Dong and she is giving us time to probably make up a plan and get ready.......",she trailed of as she looked at the bracelet in her hand.

So you’re going to want to thank @assassiyun for the pure emotional pain train this fic is. This prompt gave me feels the second I read it, let me tell you. This is an absolute angst warning (no smut). For context this takes place after the events of MK11 but ignores the time reset.
It was the first day that you felt any sense of normalcy since the wraith of your former love came to take his place. Scorpion was not yet the man he’d become when you met him years ago. He was still so lost in his unresolved hatred and rage. Even with a clear path forward, he was a demon in the literal sense of the word, and you couldn’t help but wonder if he could now ever really become Hanzo again now that the course of his life changed so drastically.
You’d both given each other life changing news. Your world was shattered, the life and love you’d built with a good man lie in crumbles. It felt so especially cruel that you heard the words from his own lips. He was gone in a way you could never have him back, and yet he could stand in front of you. This creature of the Netherrealm, this ghost of Hanzo stood where he once had, and broke your heart so severely you didn’t know if it could ever recover. Not that this wasn’t hard for him as well. You’d been a surprise just as much a surprise to him as he was to you. You were something he didn’t know how to process. You, someone he supposedly loved so dearly that he could finally leave his family in the past, were a complete stranger. He could see the home you built together, heard the stories of the life you shared, but it meant nothing to him. In fact, it only seemed to bring him pain. To reopen a wound that had never actually healed, to agitate that festering sore until it became toxic.
For most of the time since you first met, he couldn’t really look at you, not that you could look at him either. Even glancing at that familiar face could make you break down into tears. He’d promised when you first met that regardless of what became of the two of you he would do his best to protect you, to help you, and care as best as he could. He meant it, you knew that. You knew he needed help healing, and he deserved every chance to shed his identity of Scorpion so he could return as Hanzo. The way he said it though, so full of duty but lacking any of the emotional attachment it’d had when Hanzo had said it the first time, felt like a kick in the gut. Now it was a promise, but one with an implied distance. Like it didn’t matter whether or not the two of you could connect. It was hard to fully explain why that caused a pain in your soul, perhaps because you knew there was going to be a future for him, one that didn’t necessarily include you in it. He may grow into someone different, or this weird pain between the two of you may mean there was never a chance for something more. You lost the love of your life, and had effectively been dumped on the same day.
Time has a way of settling things, or at least creating new normals. That was something you so dearly longed for, any sense of stability or familiarity. So when you found where Scorpion had stashed his gear (unintentionally of course, you would never disrespect him by snooping), you decided to throw a little caution to the wind and bring your favorite routine back to your life. He was more than a little intimidating with his quickness to anger, and you most definitely should’ve gotten permission first. Yet there was something about his Kunai that called to you the second you saw it. A little piece of yourself that had gone neglected for too long demanded attention at long last, so against better judgement you went ahead and took his blades.
It was a lovely day too, the kind that was so pleasantly sunny it made it easier to put some misery out of your mind, even if you could feel it lurking in the back. There were so many memories threatening to come spilling out over this simple activity, but you managed to keep yourself focused while you gathered your things, found a nice spot under a tree, and got to work tending to the weapons. You were proficient with that now. You could clean, sharpen, and oil them all quickly and perfectly, but today you decided to take a little extra time. It felt like coming home in a way. You’d done it so many countless times before that doing it was an exercise of nostalgic familiarity.
You were half way through sharpening his Kunai when you saw him staring at you. The sudden intrusion you hadn’t been prepared for almost made you drop his blade. You never really got used to just how quiet he could be. Your heart was just about racing in your chest, and you’d begun to stammer out some awkward apologies when you finally looked into his face and were surprised to find he didn’t look mad. No, he looked sad. Even his posture was different, more casual, with shoulders just low enough to confirm his expression. That stunned you back into silence, and for a moment the two of you stared silently at one another. You hadn’t spoken much since the first day, only casual remarks or conversations of necessity there’d been too much awkwardness between you. There was something in his pupil-less gaze that was trying to push through that, though.
“Do I frighten you?” He asked with his somber tone. The frown reached his brows, and it was clear that he was worried about that. You realized that you hadn’t really considered how he viewed you, though you knew you must have been a challenge for him. This was the first indication that he was concerned of your impression of him. Something made your stomach feel tight. It was the first indication that you noticed. In all this time of you being unable to see him without seeing Hanzo had he been trying to find some way of connecting with you? He had made it a point to check on you daily, something you’d thought was him keeping his word. Maybe it was, but you were both a truly unique sort of lonely at the moment, and perhaps the only ones that could really empathize. You set the knife down carefully, and patted the ground beside you in invitation. There was already a few tears burning at your eyes, but maybe you could keep it together long enough to provide some comfort to a man you did love.
“I wouldn’t say you’re frightening, intimidating is the word I’d use,” you said with a half laugh. He hesitated for only a moment before he came to rest at your side. Then there was silence, a silence full of things unspoken but wanting to be said. Distantly you could hear birds singing to each other, calling to find the one to build the next generation with. A single tear slipped, but you caught it with your finger, you weren’t done mourning him, but neither were you done mourning the future you’d lost. He was still watching you and you smiled awkwardly and picked his kunai back up to have something to fiddle with.
“Do you always do this?” You’d gone back to sharpening it when he asked. You paused mid stroke and glanced at the oil you had waiting beside your whetstone. He was the one who taught you how to do it properly. Hanzo had always admired craftsmanship and dutifully took care of anything that was made with masterful hands. He’d never asked you to take on this task, this was something you decided you wanted to do for him.
“I’ve done it for you for years now,” you said, not yet ready to explain the history behind this ritual. The deep bonding the two of you had as you learned from him, or how you would wake up a little early to do it before he could. How he’d bring you tea, or sit behind you so he could hold you while you worked. Those were always your favorite mornings, those wonderful moments of intimacy before the day began. Something that had been just for the two of you. You were so lost in your thoughts for a moment that when you looked over at him you were surprised he seemed to be having a similar emotional reaction. He looked so lost, so very empty, and you knew what he was thinking about.
“You never forgot them, you know. They never stopped being important to you.” You spoke just loud enough for him to hear you, he had to drag his eyes away from the horizon to stare at you. From the furrow of his brow you knew he was struggling to find the right words, and you felt your heart soften enough that more tears were inevitably shed. You could guess how he felt, but you didn’t rush him, you let him find his feelings himself.
“And yet you are proof that I got over it, I should be relieved about that. It just feels like I’ve betrayed them.” His voice broke a few times, and he looked down to avoid your gaze. Your hand reached for the gentlest touch on his shoulder, so he could shrug you away if he didn’t want your comfort. He was here though, so he did want it. He didn’t shrug you away, instead his hand reached to rest over yours, empowering you enough to give him the smallest squeeze.
“They have a memorial here for Kana and Jubei, you know,” you said. His head lifted back up, but he didn’t yet face you. You’d been there many times with Hanzo in the past, Kana and Jubei had never been something that came between you. He never held you to their memory or compared you, he’d made it so easy to be supportive when he needed to remember them. You were the one that always remembered to collect flowers before you went. You’d wanted to go back because there was something you felt you desperately needed to do, but knew you needed permission before you did.
“I haven’t decided whether or not to,” your voice trailed off cracking with a sob before you could continue, “add you there yet. I thought I should ask before I did.” You wanted to be able to visit him, Hanzo, in the same way he’d been able to visit them. You wanted to see him with the family he’d lost and trust that one day you could be reunited. There was no point in withholding any longer, so you indulged yourself in that crying so deep it was ugly to see.You were awkwardly rubbing at your face when you felt him reach around to wrap his arm around your shoulder.
“You should,” he paused for a moment and added, “I’d like to go with you.” It was enough to let you draw in a steadying breath. Still you could hear the birds in the distance, and for the first time you thought there may be something more for you to look forward to. You weren’t certain what it was, but there could at least be peace and healing. He held you there, calm and unmoving while you collected yourself enough to respond.
