It's because of a lot of different things.
Making a comic, especially one as "controversial" as Invictus, leads to having very few fans who will interact. I understand not sharing something like sharpwolf content even if you like my art- it's a hot topic of debate in greek myth areas. No judgements here!
But a lack of interaction leads to a lack of reach, and I need to be able to get reach in order to support myself financially. I didn't want to keep telling myself "this will be the chapter that gets traction" only to continuously be disappointed.
It makes me endlessly sad that I had to abandon a project I spent so much time on, that made me so happy, that I put so much thought into, just so I'd be able to be more relevant. But I'm only one person, with limited free time.
I cannot promise Invictus will return. There's a very good chance that I will have free time in the future and go look at where I left off, and be disgusted at the quality of my work and not continue.
I love Invictus. But I can't keep putting myself through the heartbreak of working so hard to get nowhere, so I've decided to change the type of content I make.
I'm very glad that you like my Good Omens content! It's been doing well on other social media, so it seems that even if its a hard decision to quit my comic, it was for the best.
I hope this gives a bit of clarification for people. Thank you to anyone who supported my comic, even if you are disappointed at the outcome π©·
