my parents are so fascinating because my dad watches endless home repair videos and my mom watches korean tv shows psychoanalyzing "problem" kids and their parents and neither of them cares even a little bit about the other's shows but they sit there and pretend for the sake of their marriage and even make little comments to feign genuine engagement. that's true love
