🌻 share a favorite line of dialogue out of context
“Yeah. It used to piss me off when people tried to freak out the freshmen with it, though. Like — alright, obviously you have to be some kind of gullible dumbass to believe in fucking ghosts, but still. What kind of asshole likes scaring the shit out of kids?”
(it's my favorite because of the context, but here ya go anyway :P)
storyteller saturday asks!
OOOOH I should make a mixtape ghost cover but like. goosebumps books style
18, 21, 25 for the ask game :)
18) were there any works you read that affected you so much that it influenced your writing style? what were they?
THE HUNGER GAMES, The Host, the Unwind series, An Enchantment of Ravens, The Language of Thorns (fairy tales from a fictional world!), and most recently The Miseducation of Cameron Post I can all name as the biggest influences on my writing, either narrative choices or prose.
21) what do you think when you read over your older work?
mostly I'm happy about how far I've come :) reading my old works makes it REALLY easy to see where I've improved, so it actually gives me more confidence
like the best of em though I do cringe at it :P
25) copy/paste a few sentences or a short paragraph that you’re particularly proud of
lmfao take this line from Mixtape Ghost featuring Casey and her shitty boss in the haunting of Blockbuster Rewind Corner Video:
(get to know your author ask game!)
i’m thinking of changing the mixtape ghost setting from the early 90s to the early 2000s but then what’s the mc gonna have instead of a haunted walkman? a haunted ipod?

Hello 💜! You might have noticed most of my posts lately have been queues because timezones are hard. Anyway, I sadly haven't kept up with your newer WIPs, I just know the names, so if you're talking about them on this blog, please offer crumbs of info? 👀
ahhh hi!!! ^-^ I remember you asking about Escape Train, Divine Rights, Four Horsemen and the Clone Story in the past, so the new WIPs would be:
Prince of Fates: fairy tale style fantasy about fate and nature
Vampire Vampire Slayer: 1950s vampire doing some vampire slaying
and Mixtape Ghost: horror novel in the 90s with cassette tapes and gore
more detailed explanations under the cut:
just realized if I made mixtape ghost 2000s I can write the final fight scene to toxic by britney spears and it would be canon
gonna sound like a baby rn but my biggest challenge writing mixtape ghost is not knowing how ppl did anything before computers 😂
