hsy. || counting stars.
thereâs something about the stars you see, the specks of white against a black canvas, that puts an ease to his soul. what was it that made him feel like the undisturbed rivers, serene and unlike the beast that craved for destruction which lived in him. perhaps it was because white was synonymous to good and black was synonymous to evil, an oddity that which humanity have taken up ( colors were another odd topic, but not one meant for today ). that sort of symbolism, the kind that which depicted no matter how unbelievably dark one wasâthere was specks of light and good in them. an image he could relate to himself. and if he started to count, it felt like he was counting the pieces of humanity that which existed in him ( because donghae was not merely a monster, not merely a man, but an oddity and complexity that he sometimes felt like he knew of yet not ). donghae frequently counted stars, often found a time to do such an act. itâs to keep himself sane, to make sure he didnât get ensnared by the urges of the beast that lived within. and it became a hobby, a habit to do so once a day. but the most effective manner, of course, was to actually go and count the stars. near the city, it was harder to do such an act, but going to the hill quite far away from it always did the trick. and when he goes to that hill, these days he could always expect another to be there. thereâs a knife somewhere hidden on his frame, but itâs only for the sake of vigilance. more visible was the phone and earphones in hand. music helped as well, albeit not as effective as the stargazing did. with all that, he head to the hill expecting tranquility and a woman to be there. arriving the scene, he wasnât surprised to be greeted with such a sight. sometimes theyâve talked, other times they merely remained quiet. he didnât much care because in here, it was like a haven of peace despite being aware that she gave off a dangerous vibe and all. taking his seat, by her side but a space present between them, he sets down his phone and started to go through his playlist. gb9â˛s star pleasantly played into his ears as he placed the buds into it. the volume isnât too loud, soft enough that he could still hear the other if they spoke. and with all that set up, he looked up at the sky and watched the stars.
