Sweet…. #Repost @bunkerstudio ・・・ Computers have been used in recording longer than most people think . The #Studer A800 was introduced in the late 1970s and was the first #tapemachine to feature microprocessor control of many functions . Compared to the A80 that lives in our #mixroom, our #A800 is a bit more stable in terms of its transport functionality. Punching in/out is much more reliable, alignment is faster, and things just generally seem smoother and more refined . Studers are just such great machines, across all eras. The mechanical engineering of their transports, in particular, has never been matched or surpassed by any other #tapemachine manufacturer . The A800 was far from the most advanced machine that Studer made. Their last analog machine, the A827, was introduced just in time for the 1990s. It was only made for a few years, as analog machines slowly began being replaced first by digital tape, and then by computer-based recording solutions . . . . . . #StuderA800 #A800mkIII #A800mk3 #analog #analogtape #analogtaperecorder #analogrecording #studertapemachine #studertapemachines #analogtapemachine #tapemachines #tapetransport #transportcontrols #recording #recordingengineer #analogstudio #analogaudio #mixroom #analogmixing #mixengineer #mixengineers https://www.instagram.com/p/CWxBVjMg5UW/?utm_medium=tumblr
