It all started with this set of both plush interactive Mixies and small figures.

I was eyeing it on eBay and the seller threw me an offer that I couldn't refuse. No large wands or rings, but several of the small magnetic magic wands.

The pink ones across the back are all Cauldron Mixies, one is from the Shimmerverse series. This purple one in front is a Genie from the magic lamp. (Still figuring out the little brown ones.)

Love the pink/purple/blue bi-pride Mixies over here; turns out they're part of the crystal ball set.

They all function. One needed fresh batteries, though it still lit up.

The mini wand actually works with some of the Mixies, in lieu of the large wand that came with the cauldron set. But the crystal ball Mixies needed their special wand to do anything besides giggling while being tickled.

So I was on Shopgoodwill.com and I found an empty crystal ball that included its wand. It was shockingly cheap, so I went ahead and bought it. I did pay dearly for the shipping, but to be fair, goodwill packs their stuff expertly.

This is what I expected to receive. Bonus? It was already loaded with the special glycerine mist potion so I could actually walk it through the reveal process.

Which I did. It was fun!

It had a mixie inside!!!!

And also its complete instructions, and a spare potion bottle of mist goo!

Good batteries in the crystal ball and wand, I had to replace the ones in the Mixie.

And I now have a functional wand and complete instructions to operate my THREE crystal ball Mixies!

There's a fortune telling mode, a matching game, and a "Spell" mode, all of which works in conjunction with the wand, which is actually really neat.

Moose Toys really does make cute stuff.

I'm giving Unia (The pink Allicorn doll) to my grandkids on Sunday, and I plan to have the table clear for her arrival, plus "magic workshop" items already set up.

I was That Potions Kid. I'd mix anything up and call it a potion. My inner child is screaming and running around about these dolls. I picked two up at Aldi long before Christmas because it said "pixie" and I thought "why not?"

Then I did my research. Oh God. Oh no. Oh my stars and garters. (Hyperfixation increasing)

I figured out how to tell who is who (the color of the gemstone on the front of the bottle) and snagged a few more.

Today is Boxing Day, or as a doll collector, UnBoxing day.

Time for a dry run for the Magic Pixie day on Sunday.

Bottle, tray, water pitcher. (I'm going to use a smaller, maybe fancier water pitcher next time. Maybe a teapot!)
