The two crossed paths during the early days of the pandemic, when MixedByAli hosted a competition on Twitch, encouraging artists to make and submit music to him. The winner would be flown out to LA to work with the man himself, and out of hundreds of submissions, Moses was born. The Baltimore artist’s debut track is pretty on point for what you might expect from a collaboration with a man so close with Kendrick Lamar, as “Show Me Something” is a lofty and soulful hip-hop slowburn.

Blending his signature sound with the time-tested and jazz-inspired hip-hop sounds MixedByAli is known for popularizing, the two work in perfect harmony to produce one of the year’s most captivating debuts.
