It really pisses me off when people insist that they can’t tell I’m not white. Maybe it’s because...I’m not white? I straight up am not. I am fair, and I do get a lot of privilege both in North America and in India because of that. Of course. That is not the same thing as being white though. I do not even think I’m white-passing. Why would people randomly ask me where I’m from if I was? The fact is that there has been a ton of violent racial segregation in recent history. I’m a mixed baby. That’s important. It’s part of who I am, and there are people who think people like me shouldn’t exist. I’m so tired of being invisible.Â
