Pamela Ann Daughtry was absolutely petrified of her own 14-year-old son, Mitchell Daughtry. On the afternoon of 18 August, 2015, Pamela sent an alarming text message to her adult daughter in which she begged her to come over to speak to Mitchell, who she said was in one of his angry moods again. When her daughter came over a couple of hours later, it was already too late. She entered the home of her mother and brother to discover a barbaric bloodbath. Pamela was lying dead on the kitchen floor, her body riddled with stab wounds. Mitchell was nowhere to be found. He remained on the run for just one day, when police tracked him down in Sunny Isles Beach, Miami. After slaying his mother, he stole her car and fled the scene. When he was apprehended, he had confessed to a number of friends via text message what he had done before attempting to end his own life by swallowing pills. He is currently awaiting trial.
