THESE ARE BOX BRAIDS, This is the hairstyle that Deja has. It's tricky to get I get it, I do I still struggle with drawing box braids hence feedback from our Black peers and looking at how Black artists draw their own hairstyles helps

A way to help you better understand it, is to remember that box braids have a pattern for each braid

Another thing is that I highly recommend following Black artists and see how they draw Black hairstyles, references are always useful to have and of course practice, practice, practice! Simply apply the same principals you would when approaching any new thing to draw and practice it, a lot, with references, sorry guys but is the only way to learn (or cheat and use brushes)
