First book finished for 2022, and what a doozy! I've always wanted to read this one but never got around to it, and, well, it was kind of disappointing! While the unique perspective on familiar characters and the excellent tension between characters kept me invested, I found the writing to be more often than not stale and repetitive. A few really captivating prose at moments, but everything in between was almost tedious.
