She can walk on her own now. Her back has healed up nicely, her arm and leg don’t need casts anymore. She knows she shouldn’t be able to do this yet, not so soon after being pushed through a sixth-story window. It’s that stuff Ivy gave her. It changed her— boosted her healing process, made her stronger, strengthened her immune system. The other day she dropped a glass on accident and just stared at it, at her legs, watched the bleeding stop and scabs form far quicker than was humanly possible. It hurt like a bitch. She had to reopen the wounds later to get slivers of glass out from under her skin. Selina had helped her. She didn’t say anything; she didn’t need to. She’d just wiped the blood off Harley’s legs with a wet washcloth and kissed her forehead and helped her back on her feet.

They both knew this wouldn’t last forever. They didn’t need to pretend it wouldn’t around each other.

But Ivy. 

Ivy didn’t know. Or if she did, she didn’t acknowledge it. And Harley was okay with that because it meant she had a lot less emotional pain to try and sort through when all this came crashing down. It smothered her sometimes, though, like hiding underneath a blanket but getting hot and suffocated by your own trapped breath. Harley was never meant to be solitary, no— but she wasn’t meant to be owned, either. And Ivy liked owning her.

So she'll go and try to explain this to Ivy before it's too late, and hope that they can still be friends. "Hey Red," she calls, and then walks right into the greenhouse to look for her. "... Reeeeeedd!"

✖: A plot you would never do/can't do with your character

I'm willing to do most things, honestly, when it comes to plots. But idk, I guess I wouldn't do anything with Miles as a Variant?? And I can't really do male/female romance threads with him. I don't want to straight-wash him. I mean, he had a girlfriend in college, but he wasn't in love with her and wasn't attracted to her, just thought she was pretty and thought that equated to physical attraction. It didn't.

Not that hetero romances are in any way a bad thing. Romances with female characters are important, and usually with my muses, there's wiggle room. But I'm playing Miles as 100% gay so while he loves having close and even non-sexually intimate friendships with women, he's just not willing to have sex with them. haha.

Um, let's see, I guess I also wouldn't want to put Miles in a situation where he just outright wouldn't fit? Like fantasy universes as stuff (LotR and Star Wars being main examples). I think he might fit in well with a more dystopian sort of setting (Hunger Games) but probably not with settings involving alien races/species.

their treatment of female antagonists. the batman universe has some of the coolest female antagonists i've ever seen-- magpie, poison ivy, roxy rocket, talia al ghul, harley quinn, catwoman, baby doll, penelope young, linda friitawa, alice synner, i know there are more but i'm just going off the top of my head-- but a lot of the time in fanon or even actual canon they're mis-characterized as secretly insecure and needing someone to love them to solve all their problems, or just completely forgotten. there is a freaking bounty of underused/underappreciated female characters in the batman universe and it bums me out that not even the fans are trying to give them some love :c
