#mistigris

It wasn't enough for me to butcher its theme song on the accordion - I figured that my @mistfunk computer art collective's annual science fiction collection was due to drop later today on #TowelDay, so while I had the #ANSIart editor open, I had to find a way to let people know to keep calm. This #DontPanic logo follows a design used in the 1981 BBC television adaptation of #DouglasAdams' #HitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy, very possibly the handiwork of its award-winning animator #RodLord.

Mistigram: for our 25th-anniversary extravaganza back in MIST1119, four years ago, we invited computer artists to put their own spin on a logo template provided by j33p33. @jellica_______ made some great #teletext interpretations, then (presumably in collaboration with his colleague DataDoor) cooked up some wild animated #PETSCII variants of them. This is basically what we look like in our dreams.

Mistigram: a few artists mourned the death of #PaulReubens aka #PeeWeeHerman in the new MIST0823 artpack collection. Here Cthulu has drawn an #ANSIart portrait of the hip-hop robot #Conky2000 from #PeeWeesPlayhouse, giving a close-up view of the tractor feed dot matrix printout from which Conky announced each episode's "secret word" -- hey, it's us! That sure made for an interruption-filled infofile!
