Kitty meeting Kitty( hidden depths)

# Aoa!Kitty is way more mature than it seems, while she may joke here and there, she has empathy for others and often prefers to talk than fight(sometimes, she doesn't have much choice)

"Oh, so you are here"

A jubilant voice could almost echo in the room, Ariel, finally found Kitty Pryde. Professor Pryde was looking at old photos of her in the room(Kitty´s room turns out to be ambiguous) and meet with the same eyes she saw every day in the mirror, except is not her eyes now.

"Hi, Ariel" Kitty replied weakly not knowing if she should ask why the other woman is here or hide the photos.The latter is motivated by the sheer amount of shame.

Ariel lay down on Kitty´s bed(the redundancy is astonishing) resembling a child, her arms and legs spread and there´s a carefree expression on her face. Unlike Kitty´s dejected expression.

"Why the long face, kitten?" asked Ariel breaking the silence gently, in moments like this Kitty remember this cheerful woman is older than her(what she did, what she saw is something Kitty, herself, may never get it, thankfully)

"Remembering bad things of my past, mistakes that I could have to avoid if I was a bit more mature" she confesses realizing that by all effect Ariel and Kitty are Kitty(two versions of the same Kitty, so, this is a space free of judgment)

We didn´t have nothing in common. I want to move on to the future and him...needs to deal with his issues.

"I see, I understand about bad choices" Ariel humming an outlandish song and return(there´s something familiar in that song, but what?) to the conversation " Once, I was captured by mercenaries, the bad kind, who want to sell mutant woman to whatever has the highest price, Peter save me and that was enough to have a crush on him"

"I never question why he didn´t save the others, just me, I didn´t question why he wanted to marry me, I was way, way young than him and suddenly, the hero workship was shatter and I start to see who he was" 

"A coward that have obsessive behavior towards me" Ariel just inhale and exhale as she continues to speak " when I found out he let the children being murder...and try to cover up, I just lose it and ending up beheading him"

"Oh" is all Kitty can say, there´s more to her story.

"What I acquire with this experience is that shitty people can do good deeds, even if for wrong reasons, and this doesn´t mean they are going to change, this doesn´t mean you should change them. The pain I got it was a reminder to be strong, braver and kinder because after what he did make go through, I refuse to be bitter and coward like him"

"That is very deep," kitty said "I was a silly girl once and now I can finally put the past where it belongs, the pain I learn it will help me to never repeat the same mistakes, no more Peter for me" she jokes feeling that this is close to being a sappy sitcom.

Then something strike in Kitty.

"Can I ask something? why you call your Kurt, rock star?" Kitty asked confused.

"Oh, that?! Because when I meet him Kurt Darkholme did have the most rock star hair ever" she said giggling "he did cut off eventually because it was a pain to keep it" ( and because people often compare him to a shadow, he hates the nickname elf because is not his, it´s Kurt)

" Damn, there goes my five dollars, I was sure he was in an alternative band," she said mentally saying bye bye to her money, the good part is that Logan lost too.

"Well, he knows how to play piano" Ariel shrugs and adds" in case you are wondering, I use leather because Peter often told me I would look hideous in such outfit, so I love to wear leather, I think I look good"

Ariel looks like Sandy from Grease in the final scene, although, no one can say Kurt Darkholme is Jonh Travolta.

Kitty shows the photos to Ariel, her family( Ariel refuses to speak on this subject), friends and finally show to her the elf of the X-men with all the pride, love and longing someone can muster.

"No, no, Kurt Darkholme would never wear that"
