I really like the contrast you know to Saunders how he sort of entreats us to... to sympathize with and identify with this very questionable morally gray man, and I just don’t get that. I'm not a good reader for saunders. whereas in reeling for the empire, you know there's this girl and she’s -- got this horrible thing inside her, which I think IS womanhood, this feeling there’s (makes claw gesture with both hands, gesticulating) that there’s something inside me, something terribly wrong with me, something no one else feels. and at the end when she bands together with the other women and kills the man -- that thing in her, she isn’t alone in it.  it’s a triumph it’s like, good for her, you know? like that Lucille bluth meme from arrested -- “good for her” -- right? RIGHT? yeah
