Ponsol stared down at the small Pomeranian that was arguing with him right now. Yes, arguing with him. Donât let the way that the Pomeranian had stubbornly nuzzled up to him in a cute little ball fool you, they were having a fight right now.Â
The bigger of the two canines was trying to get Mika to leave. Trying to pray the smaller thing off of him was a lot harder than youâd think when you realized how small he was and how good he was at sticking close to him. He didnât want to hurt the small thing, so using his claws or his teeth to dig him out was not an option.Â
âHappy or not, none of that matters when youâre dead.â He sternly growled at the smaller and younger canine. He shouldâve understood why Ponsol was being this stern with him about this. The werewolf had accidentally struck at Mika and scratched him with his claws, drawing blood. No matter how many times heâd assert that it didnât hurt, Ponsol couldnât rid himself of the guilt of accidentally hurting the small creature.Â
The one that he picked up that day in the alleyway and started to look after. The small thing named âMikaâ who struggled for many years of his life but managed to make it this far in his life. He may have some problems here and there, but he was strong in his own right for making it this far in his life. The two have been living together for some time and theyâve gotten rather close to each other.Â
He may be small, was very new to the whole shifting thing, but he had a gentle personality. One that made you want to protect him from the world. His smile was comforting, and the way his fluffy little tail would wag the moment you complimented him was endearing.Â
With his words, Mika burrowed himself further into Ponsolâs fur, making it harder for him to reach him. Given the situation being what it was, he was unable to shift into his human form to pry Mika off of him. This Pomeranian was obviously making good use of that and was doing his best to cling onto his fur while curling himself into a small ball that would be hard to grab onto.Â
Was it so wrong to ask that Mika go and live with his brother for a the time being while they tried to solve this situation of him being unable to shift? He had to close down his flower shop for a few days now under the premise that he was very ill. It wasnât too far from the truth, but he didnât know how long this would have to go on for.Â
Ears twitching, he could hear Mikaâs quiet voice muttering something under his breath. Carefuly standing up on all fours, he shook himself to see a small ball of fluff plop onto the ground and before those small stubby legs could run to cling onto him once more, Ponsol used a paw to push Mika gentlly down onto the ground.Â
His brother getting annoyed with being made to wait, âI donât have the time to sit through your quarrels, figure something out in 5 minutes or iâm leaving. Iâll be in the other room waiting.â The large dark red-brown wolf walked out of the room, leaving the two of them to continue discussing where Mika was going to go in private.Â
Desperate to not be separated from the one who saved him, the small canine was yipping and struggling to be set free from Ponsolâs paw. The large wolf leaned down and licked Mikaâs muzzle, causing the small fluffball to stop struggling to look up at him with tears in his differently colored eyes. âI originally only saw you as an abandoned pup who needed to be protected, but in time you started to grow on me. You work hard and you have a sparkling personality. So full of love and life even though your upbringing gave you none of that. I think of you to be something like my mate. Donât make me have to deal with the guilt of accidentally⌠killing you.â It pained him to even utter those words with his own muzzle.Â
With him loosening the hold he had, Mika saw his chance and sped towards Ponsolâs one leg and curled up to it once more. He wasnât letting go no mater what! He was spouting words about how he trusted Ponsol. The injury he sustained was nothing. It didnât hurt! Being torn away from Ponsol who he trusted so much was going to hurt him more! Donât make him go away! He didnât care how strong and reliable his brother was. Ponsol was Ponsol and heâs the only one he wanted to be with!Â
His âhomeâ was with Ponsol and if things were going to go down, he wanted to spend the final moments with him, and not be torn away from him to never see him again.Â
Being weak to those shiny tears as he was, Ponsol sighed and laid down on the ground and licked Mikaâs face, tasting the saltiness of the tears. âYou can stay with me for now, but the moment it gets too dangerous for you, you have to leave, understood? If you canât agree to that iâm forcing you to leave right now.âÂ
Ecstatic to hear there was a chance, Mika moved to nuzzle against the bottom of Ponsolâs chin, agreeing with the conditions. âIâm tired so iâm going to bed early. Come with me.â Ponsol picked Mika up and walked him over to his room so he could curl up around Mika and fall to sleep.Â
