eponine who's family had once been a deluxe supporter, high up, but fell out of good graces and has to slum it in motorcity

marius who's grandfather is a very, very profiting deluxe aristocrat and who has to sneak off to motorcity to spread his true opinions

cosette who has lived in motorcity since she was young, run away to a better place with her adoptive father

the les amis burners of various degrees in their own ways (their own gang dang)

cosette's father's so mysterious about his past; cosette knows he came from deluxe like she did, knows he met her mother before her death (which he's quiet about, hesitant to share), knows they've had to run from a determined deluxe lieutenant who descends to motorcity to apprehend who he can

but never much

never much really

and you know, she's pretty much had enough of being kept in the dark

her flair entices marius...but also eponine; who could've guessed someone could be able to live such a...rewarding life in motorcity, a life where you could prosper?

she's almost a model for what eponine could've had (could still, could still); marius is in his own way, but maybe this is a different way to go, a different path, besides her parents', besides those lost to her

and, as she pulls her ratty, holed gloves on, barely enough to keep warm but they look alright, she wonders (wonders for she's spied marius taking lessons from courfeyrac), maybe it's time to learn how to drive
