Oh, that'd be fun! Seeing how S2 has confirmed Velvette to be a full-on witch, I could see her having the transfiguration powers to pull this off, especially with all the power she's accrued in the past seven years/Alastor's weakened post-Adam state. Not sure if "Proto Alastor" would be edgy middle schooler Alastor, deer Alastor, or both.

Deer Alastor is furiously stamping out Morse Code with his hooves, but Vox is still the only one at the hotel who can translate it (that's a lie, Husk knows Morse Code, but he's gonna pretend he doesn't right now because it's cathartic to watch Al struggle).

and then alastor hunts them both down. the sudden loss of control terrifies him, and he decides he has no other option than to repeat the process with both then.

What if the Vees actively trained Alastor to be something of a comfort to Vox. Due to his state, all Vox wants is attention/physical reassurance/affection from Alastor. So… what if they ‘pavloved’ him to do just that? I had also just seen the poll about how physically affectionate Alastor is with Vox so what if, previously, he was kinda distant. A hand on the shoulder at most. But now he physically can’t say no to Vox if he wants to cuddle or play with his hair or something. Alastor hates it. He hates physical affection and everything having to do with it. But there’s nothing Vox wants more than that closeness with Alastor. So the Vee’s idea is that it’s simultaneously punishing (and humiliating if Vox wants a hug or something in public) Al and also comforting Vox. If they can’t save or fix him, maybe it’s the least they can do? This obviously doesn’t stop them from regretting it because Vox hates them now. And Vox of course would never know. He just thinks Alastor is being closer to him because he wants comfort after being hurt + Vox was probably one of the ones patching him up right after.

Ooo, that’s juicy! I think Val would probably have a hand in that, given his sensory powers. If it was Val’s doing, he’d probably be stuck between satisfaction at how uncomfortable Alastor is and jealousy that Vox is now all over Al instead of him.

Cut into his throat and use Angelic steel to ensure that he never speaks again. Alastor can still make some noises vocally, but all he can manage are hoarse, barely audible squeaks and whines.

Do their best to wipe that smile off his face for good. There’s not much they can do that’ll stick physically, so their best bet would be to something mentally. Smiling now means “pain” in his mind, and while he might regain the ability to do so one day, it’d be a long process.

Declawing or just plain yanking his claws out.

Break off parts of his antlers— they’ll grow back, but it feels so good for the Vees to snap them off in the moment.

Music/sound torture until his eardrums burst. He’s still able to hear, but anything “loud” (or rather, not quiet) hurts to listen to.

File down the ends of his fangs. No biting, now.

Do not let up when he finally breaks. Make sure he feels every bit of pain and terror until you’ve got him jumping at his own shadow.

Try their best to encode some Pavlov responses into him. Val and Vel may not be able to rewrite minds, but they can tamper with them.

One Alastor's influence is too powerful and it fails.

Two Vox resets and forgets the little that he does remember about the Vees and his past, but it doesn't wipe Alastor and his influence because it physically changed his brain structure, so they've basically destroyed the little bit of Vox they still had.

Three they manage to completely factory reset him, removing everything Alastor did to him, but also removing all the memories of them and who he was. He doesn't respond to Vox at all, only Vaughn, and is basically acting like a sinner on his first day in hell. He's terrified of them, especially Val. They have to decide between keeping him like they were before, even though he's technically fine now, just as mentally competent as the day he spawned in hell, or allowing him to start over as a new sinner.

Oh god, I can't even begin to imagine how they'd handle option two. I think Val might legit just go off and start a turf war with Carmilla or someone, fully intending to die in the struggle.

Yeah, I think he'd attack them. Hopefully he's not thinking straight enough to pick up an angelic weapon. Also, the fucking aftermath. He doesn't forget about this– it's about Alastor, how could he?– so he's just straight up a prisoner in Vee Tower as far as he's concerned. Val and Vel are still trying to take care of him, but he doesn't want them to do anything for him, he wants them dead!
