Enjoying the fact that every time I have an Unexpected Neighbor Encounter, I somehow manage to solidify my status as the weird little neighborhood cryptid.
I just rolled out of bed and put on whatever shirt and shorts were closest to go get the Amazon package at my door. Because I sleep naked so like at least I put on some clothes you know? My hair is a disaster because I haven’t washed it or even brushed it just kinda mussed it a bit.
Neighbor I don’t know and who has never seen me is walking their dog right past my door as I open it. They look right at me and I close the door as fast as possible after grabbing my package. Mostly because they surprised me, there is usually NOBODY out there. My street is very quiet. And it’s also crazy hot right now. But I guess if Fido has to go, you gotta take him, right?
Anyway I’m like lol that person certainly thinks I am very odd which is delightful because they would be correct.
Me thinking my boss’s boss took care of the contract problems we were having only to find out that nothing was taken care of and now I’m being buried in extra work. It is NOT my job to analyze or negotiate contracts but I’ve spent the last half of my day comparing data and creating a spreadsheet that shows what’s been happening with the contract we currently have. Sent it to the boss’s boss and basically said these guys are shady and I don’t know why we even have a contract with them.
And I’m just pissed because this is why I asked for a raise. I’m constantly doing things out of the scope of the job description they still insist on using for my position.
Anyway it’s fine! I just needed to get that off my chest. I dunno how but I’m gonna remove myself from this situation as soon as I can.

And me being like dude my camera is off because I didn’t wash my hair today. Also if you’re worried about people not engaging with your meetings and being bored have you considered making the meetings more interesting and relevant to the people in attendance?
