Last text post of the year!
For this text post I just wanted to share some of my 2025 accomplishments, if that's not your thing you can keep scrolling, but if you're a nosy gremlin you can read on!
1) Mental health: I started writing in a journal this year April, and I actually haven't abandoned it yet! At first I mainly just used it to write down interesting facts from wiki about flowers and stuff but these last few months I've been using it more like a diary. I even have the next notebook ready for when I completely fill out all the pages of my current one, which may be soon (just 7 pages left!).
2) Physical health (CW: eating habits): I survived covid this month. \o/ Also I made the choice to eat healthier starting in March this year, and I've actually been able to keep my self control this whole time and I'm very proud of me, because...it's hard!! 😂 It's a decision I have to wake up and make everyday. It's important for me to eat healthier because I have a family history of diabetes, also my previous eating habits were making me so lethargic in the evenings..😞 whereas these days I'm a lot more alert now which allows me to enjoy my free time after work :>
3) Becoming more cultured: My duolingo streak is still going strong, at 595 days now! I even managed to finish reading the entire Lou! compilation which consisted of the first 8 volumes of a comic series by Julien Neel...500 comic pages entirely in French!! This required a lot of dedication and patience since I had to stop and look up translations several times for each page. And speaking of reading, I also started reading things other than Dracula this year, and I hope to continue. I finished 1984, and I have two other novels lined up, and then I really want to try tackling A Brief History of Time, because I really want Audrey to get into quantum physics.
4) Last but not least...since August this year, I started making text posts on tumblr!! 😄 I've always felt too anxious to make text posts here, since I feel like ppl prefer to see pictures instead, or at least read something funny or interesting, but...I'm trying to remember that it's my blog and I can do whatever I want. So yeah! See you guys in 2026!
