just realised i really need to learn how to speak mirpuri fluently... what if my future MIL doesnt know english... how will i communicate... someone teach me..Â
Alhamdulillah I feel great! Today on my way back from a meeting I decided to grab something to eat, alone. Aside from being a loner (it was fun!) On the table next to me, I was joined by a lady and her younger son (mashaAllah she was lovely, an air of sweetness and humbleness our youth lack). I hit it off right away and ended up having a thirty minute conversation purely in Mirpuri.Â
You see my mum would be honored! The lesson I learnt was; don't be hindered by your inability to speak, rather put yourself in a comfortable situation which forces you to excel. And if you try, you shall not fail, insha Allah.
Coming from someone who cannot speak a line of Mirpuri without a dose of English! Once again alhamdulillah (Praise be to the One above). :-)
