Ballz' nephew back for more...
Generational Crap
Ok letâs talk about this. Take a moment and read the post below. Iâll let yâall know whatâs #OnMyRaeDAAR but I really want to have an open dialogue about this. If youâre anything like me, sometimes existing in the ânormalitiesâ of this generation makes you feel out of place. Like you were born in the wrong time period lol.....
Iâll start by saying that if I wrote everything that came to mind with these subjects, yâall would never finish reading it lol. So Iâm going to break thins thing down, sentence by sentence, and give yâall my spill.... it may get lengthy lol.
âI started worrying about my generation when people in their 20s started getting looked down upon for being brokeâ
Man listen, I donât know who told yall that life had to be perfect and you had to be ballinâ by your early 20s (or by a certain age for that matter). Itâs crazy because majority of us are just out here grinding to get it right. Most of the people that are passing judgement on those individuals who are broke either attained their money illegally, got lucky or donât have a plan to sustain what money they have now. The grind doesnât judge. Those of us out here hustling donât have time to worry about whatâs in the next mans pockets. I gotta get mine. If youâre out here broke and not trying to change it, thatâs your problem. But please step aside and let us get to it. People have to stop letting social media open the forum for judgement. Worry about yaâ damn self!
âIt seems like everything is for showâ
Because. It. Is. People are madly obsessed with putting on a show. We (yea me too sometimes) are so caught up in what other people will say and think, which in some cases isnât a bad thing. But when you become consumed with âshowing off,â then we have a problem. Social media makes the show so easy too. Everyoneâs always busy creating their highlight reels. Now its nothing wrong with showing off what you worked hard to gain. I feel like if youâre showing both sides of the story, then youâre good. But to stunt just for the sake of âI got it and you donât,â thatâs whack. No one likes a big headed show off. The only person Iâm interested in stunting on is the old me.
âAttention is the new crackâ
PERIOD! People are addicted to it. They live for it. They thrive off of it. From things like posting petty FB statuses to half naked pictures. Some people reach so far just to get attention. And as usual, their favorite tool is social media. And a lot of the time, we see right through you lol. We know you posted that to get a reaction. We know you said that for attention. If youâre anything like me, you arenât paying these addicted attention seekers any attention.Â
âWe donât keep it real with each other and most importantly, we donât keep it real with ourselvesâ
The first thing that came to my mind is fake friendships. I know quite a few people who talk heavy mess about people they call friends..... And that ainât real. My thoughts also travel to the fact that thereâs no way to keep it absolutely 100 with someone else if you canât even keep it 100 with yourself.... I donât trust ya judgement. Lying, Cheating, Backstabbing, Fronting..... all things that go along with not keeping it real. What happen to loyalty? Are people scared of the truth? Is being real out of style? Has the concept of ârealâ changed? Another thing that crossed my mind was that people are fake and donât even realize it. Smile in ya face and talk behind yaâ back just as easy.Â
âMy generation doesnât like to buildâ
This concept has been completely lost and transformed into someone trying to use you for your talents then throw you to the side when theyâre done. Been there, done that. Instead of trying to collaborate and create, itâs more one sided and selfish. Iâve been used and abused for what I bring to the table and it doesnât feel good, but it happens every day. Itâs the new trend.
âWe look for instant opportunity, short-term satisfaction and quick licksâ
The generation of jugginâ and finessing with no sustainability. The microwave lifestyle. No patience. No work ethic. I want it here and now. Everything is short lived. #NotHereForIt
âWe donât mind if our foundation is weak as long as the house looks niceâ
Yâall ainât know that a house built on bullshit wonât stand? Itâs crazy because people donât have morals, values, standards, character....anything. Empty vessels madly concerned with making it look good. There are people fighting inner demons but are more concerned with trying to make it look good for the world. The outside means nothing if the inside is rotten.
âThe things we do have no longevity. Itâs like weâre afraid to get our hands dirty.â
My parents are hard workers and theyâve instilled just that into me. Many young people donât understand the value of doing good work and actually putting in the work. Nothing in life is free. Iâve dedicated my life to Raesing The Bar and Putting In The Work. Our parents and grandparents worked hard everyday to provide for their families and build solid foundations. I feel like a certain portion of the problems with this generation can be put on the OGs. Itâs like they didnât take the time out to teach their young ones the game. I feel like itâs imperative that those of us who have been poured into greatly should share that knowledge. All this quick money and get rich quick stuff wonât last. We need to get out here and grind to lay a firm foundation for ourselves and our families.
At the end of the day, times have changed. And if youâre a #YoungOG like me, you feel obligated to share your knowledge and encourage the young people coming up behind you to be the best versions of themselves. We have to let them know that all  this new and trendy mess will not last and if they want to grind hard, they call ball forever....

Microwaves should always have the stop button clear the timer after you press it twice instead of restarting the timer. it would save valuable microseconds and cut down on noise pollution.
So, my friend and I were once forced to listen to this song for school.. Let me just say, it stuck..
first attempt at baking potatoes in a microwave
let's see what happensÂ
this could either be horribly bad or horribly terrificÂ
edit:Â it worked fine but they were large potatoes and had to be cooked for like 12 minutes, as opposed to 8. but now i have potatoes with daiya, earth balance, and crunchy onions so i'm happy.
*vegan cheesy potato goodness for everyone*
