Headcanon(s):

1.) The way that Elsa cares about Mittens is parallel to how she cares for her little sister, and in a way, Elsa sees Mittens as a sister type figure. She’s protective of her, and she would put Mittens before herself and most people. 

2.) The idea of eating french fries with milkshakes isn’t as appealing to Elsa when it’s with anyone other than Mittens.

3.) When Elsa realized she was being kidnapped, part of her was terrified just because she thought Mittens might have thought she left her behind like others had done.

4.) Mittens was the first person Elsa was able to talk to after getting away from her kidnappers.
