I decided to try and translate the new chapter since it’s been 2 weeks since it was released and no one seems to have translated it yet;;
ANYWAY, I’m really new at translating a whole manga chapter, typesetting, ect. so I’d take the translation with a grain of salt until SenseScans decides to post their translation!
Another extra page from volume 7! This one talks a bit about the symbol from Jananda.
These are rough translations so please let me know if you see any mistakes!

(So, I think this is saying that each line/sword on Jananda’s symbol represents a church (Bennett, Monjo, and Zumra) and that the circle in the middle represents the arena. Depending on the person’s crimes, they’ll get a mark that looks like the image above)
A colored drawing that Ōima-san drew for the “This Manga is Amazing” poll at the end of last year. I believe this beautiful Fushi was put on display in various bookshops. However, because it was only viewable at certain places, it will be made available to the public soon.

【Interview】Oima Yoshitoki’s『To Your Eternity』Part 2
Part 2 of that two-part interview! You can read a summary of the first part here
Again, this is just a summary of some info we learn about To Your Eternity from the interview! Please let me know if you see any mistakes!

The interviewer asks if any characters or situations that appear in To Your Eternity are based off of real life. Oima says that, often times when she is thinking about challenges that are necessary for Fushi, situations of real life friends and family will come up. For example, drawing Pioran (Pyoran) made Oima think of her grandmother that had passed away. She says that she feels some guilt for having characters die in those ways. I think she also says something about creating Parona with the meaning of self-admonition against drawing themes like that for money...? But I am EXTREMELY unsure about that part so, as a reminder, take this whole summary with a grain of salt!!
I think Oima talks about the covers of each volume and explains that each cover depicts a character’s dream.
Volume 1 shows the boy traveling with Joaan (his dream was to leave his village)
Volume 2 shows March as an adult (she wanted to become an adult and expressed the desire to grow up quickly)
Volume 3 depicts Fushi’s dream, which is to live happily and peacefully with everyone
Volume 4 has Gugu, without his mask, protecting Rynn. (He wishes to live without wearing a mask and to protect the people he cares about)
Volume 5 depicts Hayase surrounded by Yanome soldiers and a baby (Hayase wanted to have Fushi’s child)
And this isn’t mentioned in the interview, but Volume 6 shows Tonari on the island that she dreamt about in that one chapter (She wished to leave the island with her friends)
The interviewer begins to talk about the mysterious letters that show up throughout the story. He explains that, based on what Pioran taught Fushi in volume 2, we can see that each letter corresponds to 50 sounds and is composed of a combination of vowels and consonants. I think Oima asks if it “feels disorderly”? and the interviewer says they thought that, but then considered it may be related somehow to Sign Language. They thought about this possibility because Oima drew A Silent Voice which deals with Sign Language. Oima then says “To be honest...[the letters] are completely unrelated [to Sign Language].”
They joke a little and the interviewer says, when you make a chart of the letters/their corresponding sounds and reread the story, you find a lot of new things. I think Oima then says something about how the person in charge of the font has beautiful handwriting? But from what I gather, someone writes the letters out and then makes them into a font to be put into the comic.
The interviewer points out that, on the back of the cover (in volume 1), there is a picture of the Boy and Joaan that says “So as not to forget” (”So I don’t forget”, “So no one forgets”?? idk a real, experienced translator could translate it way better, but hopefully you get the idea!)
「わ・す・れ・な・い・よ・う・に(忘れないように)」
The interviewer says these pages resemble the wall in the boys home and then says, because the number of people increase or decrease depending on the volume, could it be that this represents Fushi’s memories? Oima then says these are people Fushi doesn’t want to forget.
Oima says her favorite character to draw is March because she’s small enough to fit in every panel
In the “This Manga is Amazing” Poll 2018, a favorite scene was March’s face squished against the bars in the Yanome prison. Oima says she likes drawing children in small/confined places........
I think Oima says something about how she plans on showing Fushi’s growth over time and that, in volume 1, he gave off the feeling of an animal, even eating food out of March’s hand like an animal. The interviewer asks if Fushi’s behavior was difficult to express and she says it was at first. (I don’t really understand what she says after that, but I’ll come back to it later and see if I can understand it then haha)
I know she says something about how there are approximately 13 characters that are greatly effected by Fushi and that the original title (for these 13 people or for the series, I’m not sure) was 『13人の灰剣』(either “13 Ash Swords” or “Ash Swords of 13 People”? Again, I’m not sure bc I’m not very good at titles lmao) And she says more about this but I’m very lost;;;; Again, I’ll come back to it later and see if anything comes to mind
[T/N: When I read 『13人の灰剣』, I immediately remembered this picture of Fushi staring at colorful swords along with March. The text reads “He begins his journey with the warriors who illuminate his darkness” There are 11 swords in the picture, but including March and The Boy, it makes 13. So I wonder if this picture is foreshadowing that.... Sorry, I’m just rambling;;; and this ended up sounding silly///]
Oima’s closing comments: “I really like moles and crabs, so if you like, please pay attention!”
Again, sorry for any mistakes! I will look back at the interview later and see if there’s anything I can understand, but remember not to take my translation to seriously!! Hopefully someone more skilled (or even Kodansha) will translate this interview!!
Reconstruction here hasn’t finished yet. The immortal was able to leave the island without any problems. As for me, after about 15 years, I think I’m going to stay here.
Since the Knocker attack, the people on this island have become kinder. It’s because of this lucky turn of events that I’m still alive despite becoming the Island Chief. Some adults told me they would protect me.
Speaking of Island Chief, I heard a group tried to host their own tournament but it seems they had trouble gathering people.
I think, surely, that everyone has already noticed it.
What this island needs is not people murdering each other, but everyone working together and helping each other.
Many of the people on the island have been coming around to hear my stories of the immortal. It seems that a new religion is being born.

As usual, I’m practicing Japanese by attempting to translate these pages from vol 6.! This one looks like it was written by one of the people Hayase managed to convert during her speech in ch44.

*Everywhere I looked, this word was used for “falling in love at first site” or something to that effect. However, Jisho.org says it can also mean “seeing/meeting for the first time.” I went with the first one considering what she tells Fushi in ch52.
**I couldn’t think of a better way to say “group of protectors.” The only things going through my mind were “guardian group” or “protection squad” but those sounded silly;;
