I mean, it’s not unexpected - I am a KBL girlie, through and through - but I’m honestly surprised that the show making my heart race the most right now is Business as Usual… and we’re only two episodes in.

Does kicking off with a steamy bed scene help? Is the sky fucking blue? OFC. Is it because both leads are hot (and cute) AF with dangerously good chemistry? YES. Or maybe it’s my eternal weakness: the (presumably) well-intentioned, misunderstood, fuckboy-look-alike who isn’t actually a playboy, but just too flirty for his own damn good? ABSOLUTELY.

It’s impossible not to fall for Choi Jin Hwan. I’ve already spent my college years crying over someone exactly like him - so yeah, I GET YOU MIN JUN. It’s the damn smile. Ugh.

But maybe that smile made me judge him less harshly, because I am aware that he might be a red flag. This convo with Wu Hyeok? I’m guessing he wasn’t talking about Min Jun. Those “I humored him a few times out of pity” lines suggest someone else entirely, someone BEFORE Min Jun. Which - still problematic (why are you entertaining people out of pity - who do you think you are??), just maybe not cheating-level. A bright yellow flag, if you will.

And THEN the next day? “A friend needs me urgently” and that friend turns out to be Wu Hyeok? Why couldn’t you say his name, sir? WHY? YOU’RE MAKING ME MAD, JIN HWAN. Yes, Min Jun could’ve communicated better, but what are we going to watch, then? All I’m saying is: the miscommunication in this series actually feels grounded and realistic. I get Min Jun’s angst. Even I would want some clarification.

The big question is: if Jin Hwan had just said they were only friends, would that really have been enough? Because let’s be honest - those hugs, that extreme closeness, the “my Wuhyeok”s and the “missed me”s? That’s not neutral. That’s not nothing. Can you ignore all of that and not feel at least a little jealous? Isn’t it still too much when there are no clear boundaries? I honestly don’t know.

What I do know is: Min Jun isn’t crazy. He’s uncommunicative, maybe a bit too insecure, sure - but he’s not pulling this out of thin air. He’s reacting to something very real. And I can’t blame him.

But god, back to present day - I LOVE this new Min Jun. No-nonsense, direct, side-eye-loaded, almost sassy in the best way. He still looks like he gets frustrated easily, but there’s something more grounded about him now. More self-assured, maybe. Like he’s not the same boy that walked away from Jin Hwan eight years ago. I don’t even know him that well yet, and I’m already obsessed.

Also: I am EXTREMELY ATTRACTED to asshole-looking, too-sweet-talking, addictively-smiling, trapboy-shaped Jin Hwan, because unfortunately, that is my type. Just kill me now.

But seriously, how can you show up EIGHT YEARS LATER and act like nothing happened? Is it because Jin Hwan genuinely thinks he was ghosted by Min Jun? That he’s been carrying around this quiet hurt, thinking he was the one left behind? And now he’s trying to play it cool - maybe even a little smug - because he’s the one who was wounded and never got closure?

What if… he doesn’t even know why Min Jun is so angry? What if he’s truly confused because, in his version of the story, he’s the one who got abandoned?

…Okay, now I’m sad for Jin Hwan. Apparently I’m the biggest red flag apologist on the internet. But like - LOOK AT HIS FACE. So cute. UGH.

See? This show is giving me everything.

And don’t even get me started on the Ep 3 teaser: the tension, the “Did you think I came here to sleep with you?” line, Jin Hwan asking if Min Jun ever liked him (so maybe he was actually ghosted unjustly??).
