What Could Have Been | Lucian & Eris | AU
There was no need for two commanders to be on the same mission, they really didnât even need to take the mission, but bonding for both of them meant there needed to be blood involved. So taking on a higher level assignment where the subject was supposed to be tortured and then killed was nothing the two hadnât done countless times before. She had thought it would be fun to spend some time in the field with Lucian since they had both been pretty busy the past few weeks.Â
Of course, heâd obliged easily which is why two hours later she was now straddling a heavy set man in his mid-fifties, with a pair of pliers in her hands. Sheâd spent the last half hour watching the other have his go and now it was her turn. She didnât particularly enjoy yanking out teeth but the conversation at hand instead kept it more enjoyable. Especially as she could multitask and kill two birds with one stone as sheâd been wanting to bring up someoneâs bad eating habits.
âFocus.â She sighed, turning her head to look at Lucian.
âI do not want to see you die of a heart attack when youâre fifty because you refused to eat anything green.â She was interrupted by a gurgling sound and turned back towards the man underneath her. He had been tied up and had a surgical spacer in his mouth and for a moment sheâd been so wrapped up in her conversation sheâd forgotten her friend underneath. âSorry Petrov, where were we.â Eris focused once again and took the pliers to one of his back teeth, and yanked back as hard as she could, removing the tooth and ignoring the scream coming from the man.
"Oh that reminds me, we need to pick up some toothpaste on the way home.â
