#mini tarot

hello everyone, i felt a small push to make this small reading for people that would see this. mainly water signs, libra, taurus signs, but if you come across this then just read it ^^ i asked three main questions, and i hope this reading helps you along the way! please leave some feedback because its my first time doing a post like this, i’d love to hear what you think <3 

the tower - how is everyone feeling now

i think the problem now is that some people might be very stuck, you might be stuck in a cycle that could be destructive for you. some things you have could be build on a very shaky base, and now that there are attacks against it, it could be causing you to crumble easily. so there’s definitely a possibility of feeling somewhat unstable, i’m getting tiredness and the feeling of giving up as well. but with destruction comes change, and this rocky feeling now will go away, work on yourself and have faith in you. 

the chariot (rev.) - what can you do to change 

similar to the tower, there is a lot of instability, and change. you might have, or you do have a fear of change, and that factor of change itself can cause you to panic because it’s foreign/disliked. one thing you need to do now is be patient. just be patient, things will come to you eventually. there’s no point in forcing anything, because all you’re doing is causing yourself more anxiety and panic. focus on your base, rebuild yourself again, remind yourself of your goals/aspirations in life and work on them. give yourself a purpose and use that to ground yourself.

the star (rev.) - what is something you need to know 

other than the cards mentioning this, intuitively i feel like many of you are trying to seek love, or some sort of comfort. and you feel like this comfort can be found and the issues you have can be solved by finding a partner. but at the same time, you feel unworthy of certain things in your life. i’m here to tell you that you are worth everything! believe me you are, your mindset will only cause you more pain. break the cycle, you have the strength to do so, you just need to trust yourself and start picking at it, i believe in you. you really need to know/realise that being hurt and staying in a toxic cycle forever is never a solution, understand that you have the power, you are the only one that can turn your situation around as you wish.

A “mini” version of the beautiful and previously oracle-sized 3.5″x5″ Dreams of Gaia tarot was just released! Even being a mini version of this deck, the cards are about the size of standard playing cards, measuring 2.5″x3.5″, not like other mini-sized decks you may find that fit in your palm.

Dreams of Gaia is a gorgeous deck illustrated and authored by Ravynne Phelan that uses earthly but ethereal themes and symbology. A lot of the imagery is familiar to modern Wiccan/paganism and leans heavily on symbols from Celtic mythology and Druidism due to its centering around earth and Gaia. Even in its mini form, every illustration is jam-packed with symbols and detail. For those that want to see the full and intricate details, the regular size deck might be better suited, but for some it may be unwieldy. 

This mini deck is wonderful and comes with a pretty sizeable LWB that fits in the box. The cards are pretty thick matte cored cardstock (not soft touch) but the deck is really easy to shuffle and doesn’t warp. If you haven’t read with the Dreams of Gaia deck before, you’ll definitely enjoy it if you’re nature or spirit-minded. It likens itself to more celestial-type oracle decks that often work with key concepts rather than a static card meaning.

The deck is actuall 81-cards, and contains extra major arcana cards, making it 25 cards for the majors in total. The major arcana is actually alternately themed and named, so for example instead of #20 Judgement, it’s Desire, and instead of The hierophant, it’s The Crone. The suits are elements instead of the regular tarot suits, but the parallel is pretty evident (cups/water, swords/air, earth/pentacles, wands/fire). The page and knight cards are also replaced with alternate concepts, such as “Air: Body/Mind” in place of the page of swords, and “Air: The Scribe” instead of the knight.

Symbolism I thought was pretty easy to read overall since there’s so much to read from. I would wholeheartedly recommend this deck, as it brings a lot to offer, though the mix of modern pagan concepts and/or pretty gendered cards/concepts may be offputting to some.
