SELF PARA. DEC. 26. 2:46 AM
HER WORDS WERE SCRIBBLED INTO THE PARCHMENT,  etched into the thin paper and soon faded after each word was written.  she made sure the ink would hide her bubbly cursive writing. amora sat in bed, her ruby lipstick wiped away and makeup neatly cleaned off her face as it always was at bedtime. she was alone in her family townhouse, tucked away from any peering eyes.
SHE WAS ALONE   but not to be mistaken for lonely. her solitude held many secrets, especially when she was away from school. it was where she could think about her brother and his questionable choices, and how she rarely agreed with the words her parents would sprout about their disheveled son. their anger was unwarranted in her eyes. amora was caught in the middle, and she felt scared that they would soon turn on her too if they ever knew the truth. of the rebellion that ached to burst from her chest. about her fancy in girls and not boys. about her new intuitive for a cause that did not sit well with them. would they push her away like they did alastor ? would they banish her from the family name and make up excuses for why she wasn’t there ?     AND SO SHE WROTE :   i do not agree with them. mum and daddy, they no longer make sense to me. alastor may be foolish, but he is blood and i cannot make sense of their disapproval any more. it troubles me to feel so far away. to feel so empty? things no longer make sense. the families mum and daddy invited yesterday evening, i saw and heard too much. i think my parents are in bed with the enemy? i haven’t told anyone. i won’t tell anyone, i won’t risk it.  but i no longer feel safe here. things are not right.     THE WORDS FADED INTO THE PARCHMENT AS QUICKLY AS THEY CAME.  amora tucked her seemingly empty book underneath her mattress, the warn-down pages a hidden glimpse into her mind. her wand was underneath her covers. she always felt a sense of relief when she emptied her heart. this time however, there was a shaky feeling.  at least she’d be returning back to hogwarts in the morning. she’d be seeing friends like DAISY AND KATHERINE AND MARLENE.  they’d surely help her forget about the troubles at home.  amora needed people to make her forget, if just for a little while. because things would surely become too real, too soon.
