Useful little trick of mine:
Use MS paint and zoom in all the way. Then use the shapes tool and the thinnest drawing thickness to make shapes. This will help you create “plans” of a sort, for layouts and stuff. It especially helps for drawing circles and suchlike.
Here I’m using it to draw a series of concentric circles for a project I’m working on.
It’s also a great way to do planning on how to fit multiple things in a given area (i.e. city planning kind of stuff), AND if you make a square that’s 101 x 101 with a single pixel in the middle that gives you a maximum power beacon’s radius of effect and position. On my last server I used that particular technique and a screenshot of an ingame map to do a rough determination of where to put beacons to ensure my entire end island was covered with the haste effect.
