Thera had been on Earth for quite some time now and she wanted to travel around. It was summer, so she’d be able to do what she wanted for a while. After doing some reasearch, she found out that the University had a program with the archeology students which takes them to a dig over the break. She decided to volunteer to be a chaperone and tag along. They already had a few professors going already, but they decided to allow her to come.
The trip was to the Ruins of Tanis in Egypt. The whole point of the trip was to bring prospective archeologist to a real dig site to show them what they’d possibly be doing. They had a small area where the students could conduct their own digs and report their findings.
On the 3rd day, Thera was digging by herself just for fun when she stumbled upon a gold medalion with strange symbols on it. There were circles, lines, and dots in some kind of design. Part of her felt it was alien.
