Consider This
Duck having a hard time because he feels like he has to chose between Indrid and Minerva, and because he’s such a shit liar it isn’t hard for the two of them to get the truth out of him.
Minerva doesn’t fully understand why this is such a dilemma because on her home planet, before the wars and everything, it was very common to be in relationships that consisted of yourself and perhaps 2 or 3 other people (or more!!!).
Indrid says while he isn’t necessarily attracted to Minerva in any romantic or sexual way, he could see many futures where the two of them were very good friends.
Duck is now in a poly relationship with Minerva and Indrid. Minerva very excitedly introduces them as “my husband and his boyfriend” or “my boyfriend and his husband” or something to that effect. Indrid and Minerva become very close friends, and are both dating Duck Newton and it’s very nice for Indrid because they are both very warm, and while Duck is typically sandwiched between the two of them, he still gets some of the benefits of Minerva’s body heat.
