im so used to hearing

"make it a great day"

it was quite odd to hear the other

i honestly like "make it a great day" better because it reminds me that its up to me to make my day enjoyable. It gives me a slight sense of independence and pride. I cant control the actions and lives of others but i have the ability to and need to control mine. What i achieve is fully mine and i have to strive for more. Seeing what ive done so far is quite reassuring and i have to set higher goals. What i do today may play into the grand scheme of my future or it may not be of much importance. I need to keep my focus on what matters and make my own path. 

Id like to say that ive come pretty far from where i was in freshman year

I was failing classes and on the verge of some "things" 

but now im getting all A's , studying at a med school, have the reputation of being the walking encyclopedia, and am honestly a lot happier
