I've always found this exchange funny in retrospect because after looking at this scene and the illegal tobacco scene, one may conclude that Lt. Milo Minderbinder:

Would abandon someone he considers a close friend and confidant for money

but

Would not work with someone he dislikes even if it was to save his business

But then I recently realized that the latter was only according to Yossarian, and that Milo did end up working with the person he supposedly held a strong grudge against. This is likely only an assumption that Yossarian made about him, and he believed it to be true. However I'm unsure if this is Yossarian expecting more out of Milo's personality than just capitalism because he likes him too much, or just Yossarian expecting more out of Milo's personality than just capitalism because that's literally how everyone else is; I have a personal bias.

Anyway this entire conversation they had about Milo, Egyptian cotton and the Zippo lighters is just wild to me, especially when considering that Yossarian'd known Wintergreen from back when he was in Colorado, and only met Milo after he'd come to Pianosa.
