Mighty Millers Point, once a thriving local community in Sydney, sold off to the investment mates of the last state government.

Early on a lovely spring morning, perched on the bandstand at Sydney’s Observatory Hill, I take in light clouds, The Rocks, and the Coathanger.

High Street in Sydney’s Millers Point does a 90 degree dog leg, and this split level dual residence sits on the corner, it was public housing. Now a play thing of the wealthy, doubt they live here as lit is lit up by the construction lights from the Barangaroo Precinct.

These are a couple of workers terrace houses that are part of a long row built in 1911 as part of Sydney’s bubonic plague redevelopment. This is High Street in Millers Point, and these dwellings were until recently public housing, now sold off cheaply to developers to renovate for the rich.
