Being in the military is great sometimes... but most of the time it is shit. We work shitty hours with gear that fucks up you’re back. If you’re not married you are alone, no family (for me within 1500 miles). A family or friend emergency happens and you are so far away completely helpless, unable to do a damn thing about it. I can’t even take leave to go back and atleast be there.
