Denver Learned to Breathe in the Fourth Quarter
There was a time when the Broncos carried January scars like a winter coat. Then John Elway showed up and the whole mood changed. Not because he was perfect. Because he was willing to risk the whole thing when the stadium got tight.
This story lives in the tension. The interceptions, the sacks, the Super Bowl blowouts that almost stamped his career with a permanent label. Then the turning points that flipped everything. The Drive in Cleveland. The Jacksonville punch to the mouth. Terrell Davis arriving and changing the math. The helicopter moment in Super Bowl XXXII. The clean ending in Super Bowl XXXIII.
It is really about a habit Denver still chases. Find the quarterback who changes the air inside the building. The guy who makes a close game feel like opportunity instead of doom.
From The Drive to the helicopter run, John Elway reshaped the Broncos’ identity and turned January dread into belief, one risky snap at a ti
Frankfurt Marathon Staffel. Mit dem Zillertal auf der Rekord-Strecke
Scary movie marathon with Marv to get into the Halloween spirit. I've never really cared for horror/slashers/gore movies, but I am enjoying the movies we've picked out so far.
I Know What You Did Last Summer (6/10)
Scream (7/10)
The Lost Boys (7/10) (killer soundtrack)
I love Cordelia Cupp. She leans into her directness, her assertiveness, and her intelligence in a way that often rubs men the wrong way. It is only vicious when someone doubts her abilities. She actively cares about and has a deep respect for Dokes, even offering to call off further investigation so that he doesn't lose his job.

Give me a Kyle who finds a new way to see the world and redefined what it meant to be a part of a family. Give me a Michael who found that opening yourself up to a community allows you to grow as an individual. Or an Alex who found his self-worth and still got the girl. Or Jesse, who loved Isabel through his anger at being lied to and stood by her until the end. Shoot, give me a Sherrif Valenti, the Mid Life Crisis Country Music Queen who stood for what he knew was right and protected his community.
Not Max Evans.
Like. It's clear a guy wrote Max's character because what sort of sympathy do I have for a guy that forbids his his sister from moving away or controlling who she can have romantic relationships with? He allowed himself and his best friend to have romantic relationships with other women onto whom they can also dump their emotional baggage. And then vilify her when they all found out she betrayed him in another life. And then reel her back into compliance by telling her that she is his home. Only to later warn her that if she persued college in San Francisco, he would physically (or psychically) force her to go back to Roswell. Very possessive. And he's the character I'm supposed to be rooting for to be with Liz? I'm not sold. Bring me better male characters.
I'm just going to say it: Max Evans is a self-centered, sopping wet blanket of a character, and Liz deserved way better.
