3. Did they have a good childhood? What are fond memories they have of it? What’s a bad memory?

nise had a good childhood yeah ! like he rly wouldn’t have wanted it any other way i mean, good parents, good education, lotsa opportunity to see cool stuff, u kno. a good memory was the first time he met valas, when he was like 9 maybe (haven’t decided for sure) and valas rly opened his eyes to how cool and different other ppl were bc at this point the only ppl he’d really met are the ones in his villiage. and a bad memory well, he got scratched by a bear as a youngin, still has some scars from it across his torso - it just scratched him bc dumbass  nise was poking the bear. and his dad came and rescued him but still that was SCARY and he’s still afriad of bears

6. What were they like at school? Did they enjoy it? Did they finish? What level of higher education did they reach? What subjects did they enjoy? Which did they hate?

so nise never went to a formal school, he was educated by his parents during his early years, and he’s done lots studying by himself in areas he’s interested in. he’s had two main mentors, valas and ea, but he’s essentially always learning new stuff. if he was in school i feel like he’d be really like…. he gets good grades if he’s interested but in the stuff he doesn’t care about, he’d not do as hot. and he’d probably skip classes just bc he didn’t feel like going; nise isn’t really one to do stuff he doesn’t want to do. he’s interested in history, in different races and societies, in languages, and in people in general, like he just thinks people are. interesting but that’s not rly a school subject

9. Do animals like them? Do they get on well with animals?

nise isn’t really a fan of animals, he likes big birds bc he thinks they’re cool, but he doesn’t rly see why people have pets that don’t do work, bc in his eyes, they’re just gonna die right away, so what’s the point…. and animals aren’t generally a big fan of him either 

14. Do they have any specific memories of food/a restaurant/meal?

how specific a question ! well valas likes cooking with lots of spices and making interesting tasting food and different kinds of bread, and when nise came to stay with him and anais for the first time they made him a big meal with their fave foods and it was rly unlike anything he’d had before, so that kinda stuck w him

28. What is their biggest fear? What in general scares them? How do they act when they’re scared?

coughs idk where to start i’ve worked a lot on this boi also i love him a lot… he’s my icon bc this cool as FUCK artist on da drew him and im like… shit boi i die….

but he’s chaotic neutral and like….. rly selfish or like…. into equal exchange so like he’ll do something for you but only if it benefits him too. or he’ll do something that harms you and benefits him. he’s just found mutualistic relationships to be easier to manage. and like when he was just a wee one out in the world for the first time he TIRED being the good guy but god dam there’s so many people out there that need help it’s all too much and he has to worry abt himself too so like….. BUT he will do things like give info away or heal ppl for free if he wants 1) to show off how fuckin cool and smart he is got dam or 2) wants people to trust him, like fr example in our campaign he heals ppl for free just bc he’s like… okay u stab this monster for me and i’ll fix ur wounds u know, equal exchange, i’m trustworthy 

anyway i just jumped into one aspect of his personality but there’s lots more also okay this is a big indicator of personality last friday we found this tower and at the top there was a bunch of cursed treasure; potions that did the opposite of what they seemed to do, coins with touch transfer poison on them, cursed jewlery, etc and nise took an inverse ‘know all languages potion’, the cursed jewlery, and some of the coins that have been rinsed off, and in the nearest town he and max’s character gave 3 seperate merchants take sips of the potion then stole all their stuff and one of the things he got was a crystal that hovers around his head and makes it so he doesn’t have to breathe HOW COOL IS THAT @ connor thanks i love my crystal

★ he started smoking at 19 bc it annoyed his mother

★ his hands are always chilly, and he likes touching ppls faces/necks/hands with his chilly fingers in an attempt to warm them up

★ he met carsten day one of a new semester at school; the first thing carsten said to him was “you dropped this pen”

★ in videogames and things, if the existed during his time, he’d definitely always play as a mage
