Heya 🧀 anonie, yesh, I am reading a lot this year compared to any other year, I’ve completely abandoned my actual books 😭. Thank you for noticing. It’s also because I keep getting tagged in so many fics, and my TBR has grown into its own universe. Meanwhile, my reading pace is painfully slow. I’ve been trying to finish this one Yoongi fic since last month, and no progress. Anyways, sorry for the rant ~

Choosing just one or two authors wouldn’t do justice at least not to me. I honestly think everyone who writes, who brings their imagination to life for us, for free, literally free to read, that’s a blessing in itself. The fact that someone can sit down and write something so beautifully, without the help of AI, that’s already incredible.

So instead of two names, I’ll mention all the writers I read and love because they all deserve to shine ✨

for new writers:

write the fic you want to read, not the one you think people will like, not the one that's trending- the one that lives in your chest rent-free at 2am, that's always the best one.

don't wait until you're "good enough" to post. you learn by doing, not by drafting forever in your notes app.

don't apologize for your fic in the author's note before people even read it. no "sorry if this is bad", just post it.

write messy first drafts. editing is a separate brain from writing. don't do both at the same time or you'll never finish anything.

for new tumblr writers specifically:

tags are your best friend. use them. fandom tags, trope tags, member tags, all of it. that's how people find you when you're starting from zero.

don't let note counts define your worth, some of the best fics on this site have like 47 notes. it doesn't mean anything.

find your people first. interact with other writers, reblog with actual tags, leave comments. tumblr rewards presence, not just posting.

format your fics. a read more cut, a header if you can do it or just get one pinterest with pairing/warnings, line breaks between paragraphs. it makes a bigger difference than you think.

if someone leaves a comment or reblogs with tags- respond to it. even just a "thank you ily" goes a long way, that's how you build actual readers, not just drive-by notes.

the dark side nobody warns you about:

people will not reblog even when they love it. that's just tumblr. it's not a reflection of quality. even the recs i make have more likes than reblogs. comparison will eat you alive if you let it. someone always has more notes, more followers, more everything. it doesn't matter.

the most important thing is just keep going. everyone's first few posts into the void feel like screaming into nothing, that's normal, stay despite despite.

and lastly, if you're a writer yourself, drop your link below. new writers need blogs to follow, and this is as good a place as any to find each other. promote your work, your masterlist, whatever you've got. you deserve to be found.

I don't even know what to say, because this place feels so vast, and from where I stand, it's hard to truly connect with people like you, so having this number means the world to me (which is ironic, since I don't even have 50 followers on my main account, and I barely use it these days.)

This blog started out of my love for reading fanfics. I was deep in my Jujutsu Kaisen era, craving Gojo and Geto stories. I used to read on my main blog, but it never felt right to reblog them there, so this little corner was born, 3 years ago. Yeah, I started small. I yapped into the void, talked to myself, and honestly, I still do but since this year, I've come across some truly kind and sweet souls. I only open this blog when I want to read, but I visit every single day nowadays. It's fun, even if I don't read daily. I just enjoy being here. It's my safe haven. I don't have to hide my thoughts here even the unhinged and deranged ones that's just who i am.

Lately, though life hasn't been the best. Yes, I've been enjoying concerts, I screamed and cried, I love Bangtan so much but sadness still won't leave my life. I thought summers were my best season, but maybe the evil eye caught me back. 5 days ago, I lost my Twitter account to a suspension. I'm still trying to get it back, please pray that I do. I made that account when I was a baby ARMY, and it was so organized, it held so much of my happiness. I cried a lot over losing it and then there are family issues too. You can never live in peace, can you? Most days, I feel like running away.

I could express all this emotional turmoil on @xcarz85 but I did here....

But still, I hold on and I hope you do too.

firstly, congratulations for reaching new peak, 1k wohwowhwowhwowhwo, there's more to come baby, i can see it coming with that talent of yours. im sorry I think im really late for this, im on a unannounced hiatus, I don't feel like reading so im just staying low and barely interacting with anything but I miss you, hope you feel the same as me.

ummmm, idk what to say more but im really happy for you, and everything you have achieved. please continue to write for us, keep that light alive always, and just remember even if you reach another peak, I'll always be your admirer, even if there's no one left, im never not leaving you alone, as long as I breathe ig?!

Oh Ana, you have no idea how seen I feel right now 😭 like seriously, yesh, that’s literally exactly why I reblog fics the way I do because I cannot tell you how many times I’ve gone back to read a fic I loved, clicked on the link and the blog is just gone. Deactivated. Vanished into the void and the fic? Gone with it. No trace, nothing. Heartbreak every single time 💔.

So yeah, I reblog like a little digital hoarder at this point. Maybe the link dies, but the memory of the fic doesn’t have to.

Plus, sometimes people put the fic in a read-more or copy it into the reblog if they had it saved and that has genuinely saved my life more than once. So basically, reblogging isn’t just for engagement, it’s archival work at this point– Unofficial librarian behavior and I will die on this hill.
