♔ : Everyone’s world is black and white until you meet your soulmate, who brings color with them

     She remembers a time when she was little and she used to ask her mom what it was like, seeing in color. She was told that the world lit up the moment she met her father, the story never got old no matter how often she heard it. Afterwards her mother would always describe the colors of things–how the sky was blue, how her favorite roses were a deep red, how little Mako’s eyes were prettiest shade of green she’d ever seen. Even then, Makoto couldn’t wait to meet that someone who bring such light to her world.

     It’s a fond memory she’s brought out of as soon as she collides with another person. Profusely apologizing and scrambling to pick up both of their belongings, Makoto hardly notices the tints and hues bleeding into her vision until she looked directly at him——and God. 

                                          This is what it’s like.

    The warmth rushes right to her cheeks but all she can do is smile. His hair, his eyes (they matched—but good God, his eyes), everything about him was so bright and wonderful. No matter how vibrant things were now, everything around him seemed so dull in comparison.
