In regards to the Avid and Marm situation, I will continue to include V!Avid in my VSMP fanfiction, however know that I DO NOT support those two, and my heart goes out to the victims and everyone else affected by them.
This is exactly like the Wilbur situation a few years ago. I am choosing to separate the creator and the character, as they are two different people. Avids character played an important part in both V!Shelby and V!Owen's arcs, and erasing him from the narrative just wouldn't work, at least in my opinion.
