Possible spoilers if you havenāt read up to date with Not Quite Home in Darkness (Chapter 55).Some may think I planned our certain friend from the start because of the crystal scene in Chapter 3, but when I added that (completelyĀ on the fly as I was writing the chapter mind you) I just had an idea of Noct absorbing itās power and gaining his strange unexplained powers not really knowing where I was going with them.Then for the next 20 or so chapters, absolutelyĀ wracking my brains for where I was going with that plotline. I started getting the idea for our Friend. Somewhere, waaaay early on inĀ writing, I discovered the PitiossĀ Theory. I kept coming back to it and in the end it inspired some of those aspects of the story especially - you know who, Ravatough and the betrayal that happened.There were quite a few other theories I had brewing in my head and I ended up combining a bunch to write what ended up happening. It wasnāt until maybe 5 chapters before the big reveal that their story was solidified (it changed a lot over the course of this story. Once I had the approach for them, it seemed obvious they were the reason for the time jump as well as the power.I canāt remember what gave me the idea for the Astrals backstory (possible the astral war scenes they added as updates to the game) I do however remember frantically writing down ideas, vague lines of dialogue at 2 in the morning on my phone (so much of this fic is written at 2am on my phoneā¦so muchā¦)The scariest parts were dropping the breadcrumbs to tease who they were without completelyĀ giving it away, Iām not sure how I went with that but I seemed to surprise a few people so that was fun.Iām looking forward to revealing the outcome of this characterās story. For Clubs the Bull. 1. 10. 11. 18. 21

What influenced or inspired the creation of this character?Ā oh boy itās a long story.Ā once upon a time I watched the entirety of leverage in like a month with Roommate and somewhere along the lines this led to an au of ourselves with another friend but weāre all hella ace so naturally we were likeĀ ā hey liuke ace of spades and stuff good codenamesā and I was the Ace of Clubs and the team mom/ eliot/ etc and then THAT turned into an au of the Flash where Clubs has superstrngth and hyperhealing and PTSD and then when Isi was likeĀ ā you should do this with meā I was likeĀ ā oooh, Bull sounds like funā and co-opted Clubs for it after changing some details (Clubs started off as a 23 year old woman and is now a 16 (??) year old boy)
