To the anon who asked if living in Oslo would be more expensive: Hell ye... First of all, it will be more expensive compared to other smaller areas in Norway considering public transport (which has become quite expensive these last years) whilst in other smaller towns who don't have the need nor space for transports like the underground trains and "trikk".

Another point is that Oslo is in the mids of changing, especially when it comes to the houses. The more "poorer" area's of the city such as Grunerløkka and especially Tøyen has become trendy to live in, so the prices of the flats there have risen due to their popularity and the fact that it's in the sentrum.Otherwise if you want a flat, you have the new, which are incredibly expensive! If you're looking for a house, then the cheapest ones are around the east side, which is far away from town.
