12. What is the character’s wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or do they have six of the same suit?
Eva’s wardrobe is overall very tomboyish. She wears a lot of jeans, converse shoes, plain shirts, just anything that she finds very comfortable. A lot, if not all, of her clothes are long with long sleeves and long pants as they cover her burn scars and just help take the edge off Eva when she heads out. Her shirts may occasionally have different prints, patterns, designs on them, however she tends to stand clear from anything extremely girly (pink with frills and whatnot). Even though Eva may not be big on fashion, she does have a variety of clothes to choose from. She’s not the type of girl who likes wearing the same outfit all the time. Having different stuff to from is something that Eva doesn’t mind. It helps keep her wardrobe fresh so she doesn’t have to rely to go shopping every weekend.
16. What does this character’s voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Eva’s voice can sound somewhat deep however it’s not as deep as though people would mistake her for a man. Compared to other female’s, which are generally more higher, Eva’s voice sounds slightly deeper than them. Her voice has a tendency to crack and take a raspy tone whenever she is experiencing any heightened sense of emotion such as distress, anger or extreme happiness. She also has a southern accent in her speech as a result of her growing up in Greenville, North Carolina. This trait was simply something Eva picked up after living in a town filled with people who spoke with southern accents for the first 15 years of her life, rather than it being something she inherited from her parents (neither one of them have a southern accent, although Amanda has a very very faint one).
25. Describe the character’s thought process. Are they more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Eva’s overall thought process is very negative, added with a huge amount of stress. She can’t help but immediately assume the worst and has a very hard time believing the good in anything. A lot of this has to do with her paranoia, as well as the trauma she endured over the course of her life (the house fire, loosing her mom, watching Damon kill her dad, getting turned/attacked/killed by Damon and getting mutilated to death by Wes) which caused her to develop PTSD. This paranoia makes Eva act on a very impulsive level, causing her to act without thinking and considering her actions. It can also sometimes cause Eva to act out of fear, like she wants to avoid reliving the horrors of the trauma that she once went through.
29. Describe the character’s temperament. Are they even-tempered or do they have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Eva has a very complex range of emotions. To everyone else she appears very cold, blunt, snarky, aggressive and rude, however in reality, behind that mask, Eva is actually just really scared and broken. As a result of her hybrid status and never truly being in control of her emotions, Eva is prone to having random outbursts of emotion, particularly rage. This causes Eva to be very hot heated majority of the time, easily angered by the smallest of things (people looking at her the wrong way, people mentioning Damon, people talking about her past, etc). Even though Eva can have moments of extreme happiness, most of the time she is angry, lost and alone, and that causes her to act angry most of the time. She is definitely a very driven person, as she loathes the idea of letting others take care of her.
41. Are there other blood relatives to whom they are close? Are there ones they can’t stand?
Out of all of her blood relatives, Eva was closest to her mother the most, as she basically grew up with her. She felt she understood Eva more so than anyone else. Of course, Eva was still very close with her father, however living with her mother for almost 15 years just made Eva develop a connection to her that she hadn’t done with her father. However, as of now, Eva is really close to her distant paternal uncle, Stefan Salvatore. She even considers him as an older brother figure rather than a distant uncle. He is one of the very few people whom Eva trusts completely, and will often go to him when she needs advice/help. As known by most people, Eva absolutely cannot stand Damon. The emotional and psychological trauma he put her through caused Eva to develop an immense hatred towards him. Standing in the same room as him or hearing his name being mentioned is more than enough to drive Eva into a rage.
60. What prejudices do they hold? Are they irrational or do they have a good reason for them?
I’m so sorry I have no idea what this means *runs and hides*
66. What are their interests or hobbies? How do they spend their free time?
Eva takes great joy in cooking, swimming and reading, though especially cooking. She finds it overall a very calming thing to do. It even helps her keep her hands and mind busy and in return, that helps distract her from whatever thoughts may be worrying her. Eva also desperate to cling to whatever is left of her humanity by any means necessary and so she tries to do as many stuff that would be considered very “human-like” in order to hold onto her humanity. This can include doing stuff such as cooking, cleaning, working, reading, just overall anything that a human would do and make Eva feel like she’s (fully) human. Even though most of her hobbies can be considered work stuff, Eva finds joy in them because they make her feel normal/human and that makes her feel happy. Her addiction towards this, however, can make her appear as a workaholic.
